AVID (ADVANCEMENT VIA INDIVIDUAL DETERMINATION)

AVID, Advancement Via Individual Determination, is a school-wide system which emphasizes a college/career ready culture throughout ERHS. 

The curriculum is founded on WICOR (Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, Reading).  AVID is also an elective class offered to students who need a push towards a more rigorous curriculum and ultimately onto a 4-year University.  ERHS has offered the AVID elective class since 2010.

At ERHS, we value the power of connections and relationships so our AVID elective teachers follow their students from grades 9-12.
