Hall of Fame
Overview
Purpose: To recognize individuals that have outstanding accomplishments for Elk River High School and to provide a link between the past school members and the future.
Categories: Activities, Athlete, Coach/Athletic Director, Community Member
Requirements: Athlete and Activities - Out of school for 7 years
Coach – Retired
Director – Retired
Community Member – Volunteered work to help extra-curricular activities
Committee: A committee will be selected by the activities director to vote upon the nominations received. The Activities Director is the chair of the committee but does not have a vote in the selection process. The committee members' names are kept confidential to the public to avoid undue pressure.
Process: The committee will meet once a year to review nominations received. Nominations forms are sent to the Activities Director by June 1st for the upcoming class of inductees. The first year of the Hall of Fame, five to ten members will be selected into the Hall, followed by no more than five inductees the following years. Nominations that are not inducted into the Hall of Fame will be kept on file for future reference. The inductees will be presented a plaque with a photo on it at halftime of the Homecoming game during the football season.
