A sign telling Gus’ story, sharing a photo and placed near the spot he watched the Elks roll to a state championship last year - and win many games before it - was unveiled by the entire Gustafson crew, including Paul’s brothers, children and grandchildren. And, of course, his loving wife, Barb.

Estella Yanquoi's art pieces has earned TWO National Gold Medals at the 2025 Scholastic Art Awards for her acrylic paintings - entitled “Reality” and “The Bond of Food.

At its regular Board Meeting in early December, the ISD 728 School Board took time to honor and present certificates to student leaders from around the District, continuing a time-honored tradition.

For the first time in nearly two decades, Elk River/Zimmerman qualified for the Class AA State Hockey Tournament, knocking off top-seeded Moorhead in the Section 8AA semifinals and then defeating Buffalo in the Section 8 Championship game up in St. Cloud to earn a spot in “The Tourney.”
